This time from the cliffs about Watergate Bay, which incidentally where Jamie Oliver has his ‘Fifteen’ restaurant. I wanted to get the top half of the sun over the sea, but that stubborn cloud bank foiled me again!
A big thanks to my friend Glyn Jones aka Bazmundo over on the excellent UKweatherworld forums for finding this. A brilliant and easily digestible write-up of Superstorm Sandy which goes into detail about the dynamics that made this particular storm greater than the sum of its parts.
On the night itself a lot of news outlets seemed confused as to how to describe Sandy. Was it a hurricane? An extratropical cyclone? A Nor’easter? Hopefully lucid articles like this one by Bob Henson will go some way towards setting the record straight.
Saw these backlit anvils while out on a walk today. The most gorgeous skies I’ve seen for some time. Once I’m done editing there might be a few more pictures from this walk incoming…
That stupid bank of cloud stopped the colours from being too impressive. Still, enjoying the new camera and the gorgeous scenery!
In Skyfall, anyone notice the almost scene-for-scene lift from The Dark Knight?
Just you wait and see. A lot has happened but it’s time to get on the horse again.
