Aït Benhaddou is a UNESCO World Heritage site in central/southern Morocco, an 11th century fortified city guarding the old trade route from the Sahara to the desert metropolis of Marrakech. It has been featured in dozens of films such as Gladiator and Kingdom Of Heaven, with most of the town’s inhabitants having played extras in several big-budget Hollywood productions. When bathed in the rich golden light of late evening there can be few more beautiful places in the whole world.
Wow, very cool photograph. I’ve been thinking about going here for a while. Looks like an amazing place!

It really is, one of the very few places I have been that I consider ‘breathtaking’. Thanks for your comment!
